Import from MS Outlook Express

Windows Address Book in Windows 98/2000/XP is stored in a WAB file. MS Outlook Express uses the default Windows Address Book which is stored in the user's profile area. To import from the address book used by MS Outlook Express or from a standalone WAB file, please follow these steps:

  1. Select the "WAB" tab in the Import window.
  2. Select "Outlook Express" or "WAB file".
  3. Click on the "Import" button.
  4. If you selected importing a standalone WAB file, an Open File Dialog will prompt you to locate the WAB file.
  5. After importing contacts, optionally assign categories to imported contacts through the "Define Categories" popup.

 Remarks:

Please refer to the mapping between the fields of Outlook Express and the fields of Open Contacts.

Outlook Express is not supported in Windows Vista and 7. So if you have WAB file to import, please do the job on a PC with Windows 2000/XP.
