Open Contacts

Synchronization

From version 5, Open Contacts supports change log which is dynamically generated, as Open Contacts maintains timestamps for every records and every data fields. Thus, synchronization with other devices such as smart phones and PDA through a sync server has become possible.

Two sync solutions are provided:

• SyncML Client for Open Contacts
• Open Contacts Plaxo Sync

To enable change log, go to the Applications tab of the Options window, and check "Enable change log for synchronization".

Remarks:

You may need to clean up the change log occasionally after successful synchronizations to reduce the database size.
